The difference between the Block bookings and the Intensive courses is that the Intensive driving courses are traditionally taken over a short period of time and the course will take you from your current driving ability right through to taking your driving test in a short period of time.
Usually on average students will spread their driving lessons out over a period of between 2 weeks and 8 weeks depending on their availability for driving lessons and when they are able to get a driving test booked.
It will depend on your local Driving Test centre but waiting times for tests are normally between 6 and 8 weeks for a test and you can only book a practical driving test once you have passed your Theory test.
So if you are thinking about an intensive driving course or crash course you will be much better off by practicing, booking and passing your Theory test and then you can book your practical test and Intensive driving lessons.
Even though we offer intensive driving courses in Leeds we will only teach for a maximum of 3 hours per lesson as we have found that after 3 hours of intense training pupils find it much harder to absorb much more information and it would be much more productive for use to end the lesson at 3 hours and then teach the next subjects in your next lesson.
The amount of lessons needed on an intensive driving course will vary depending on your driving experience and driving skills but if you need more lessons your instructor will inform you as early as possible.
The cost of a practical test is £62 from the Gov.uk website and that is all we charge you for booking your test, but please remember that we cannot book your test until you have passed your Theory Test first.
If you would like more information about Intensive driving courses you can send us an email or call us and we will be happy to help.
